Seirei no Moribito S01

A 30-year-old woman named Baala returns to her hometown after being away for a long time. During the years she was away, she received training and became a professional bodyguard. Due to events that occurred in the past, she was forced to kill 8 of her loved ones and vowed to save the lives of 8 others. By chance, while crossing a bridge, she saves a young boy who had jumped off the bridge into the river, and eventually discovers that the boy is the prince of this land. One night, the queen meets with Baala and tells her that they have discovered that a spirit has taken over the prince's body and the emperor is planning to kill his own son. The queen asks Baala to take responsibility for protecting the prince and escape with him from this kingdom and country. However, the prime minister and others who learn of this situation send a group after Baala and the young boy.
